History
Dear Customer,
My name is Jules Robinson, and while Verti-Flight Services, Inc. may be a relatively new company, the business of providing international helicopter logistics services and keeping helicopters flying is nothing new to me. I was born in Philadelphia in 1966 and have been around helicopters all my life.
My father, Randall Robinson, of Cartagena, Colombia graduated from the Avianca Airlines aviation mechanic school in 1957 and went on to work for Helicol S.A. (Helicópteros Nacionales de Colombia) a joint venture between Avianca Airlines and Keystone Helicopter Corp. of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.
In 1964 he was offered a mechanics position at Keystone Helicopters in Philadelphia and he moved there with his family in 1965. After working as a line mechanic for several years he proposed to the owner of Keystone, Peter Wright Sr., that not only should they maintain the helicopters they operated but should also sell maintenance services to other owners / operators. And so Keystone Helicopters entered the Helicopter maintenance business and my father was their first services salesman, eventually becoming Vice President of International Sales. Today Keystone Helicopters is one of the most well known and respected helicopter maintenance and services companies in the world.
In 1983, after 18 years of service to Keystone Helicopters, my father moved to Miami to start his own helicopter business as a Hughes Helicopters international distributor and helicopter logistics services provider. I moved to Miami in August of 1984 and began working for him. My first job was to organize the Hughes Helicopters service center inventory which had just arrived from the factory. In time the business expanded to include Bell Helicopter, MBB Helicopter Co. and Schweizer Aircraft Corp. service centers. Under his guidance I saw every aspect of the helicopter business; inventory management, part sales, helicopter sales, operations, maintenance, component overhaul, marketing, international logistics and business administration.
Also during this time I worked alongside my brother Jean-Paul Robinson, fixed wing and rotorcraft pilot, taking advantage of his professional knowledge of helicopter operations and his stronger background in fixed wing aircraft.
Now with 25 years of experience, I can offer you the wealth of knowledge that is required to meet your every need when it comes to keeping your helicopter flying.
Very truly yours,
Verti-Flight Services, Inc.
Jules Robinson
